Mrs. Catherine A. Johnston, daughter of Dr. William Summers, was born in 
Talladega County January 11th, 1835, and was married to J. T. Johnston February 
10th. 1859, she died October 16th, 1895, at the age of 59 years, 9 months and 5 
days. For many years she lived as a widow and met with many difficulties in 
trying to support and to education five little children that God had placed in 
her care. She joined Methodist church at the age of 12, and there lived a 
consistent member until 1880 the remainder of her of her days were spent in the 
Baptist church. For fifteen or twenty years she rested her head in widowhood upon 
the breast of her son our beloved brother Rev. W.H. Johnson whose house was her 
home from the time of his marriage until her death............
