Mrs. Gertrude Burgess Jones 59 2 Eleanor St died Thursday afternoon at her home. 
Funeral will be at 4 pm today at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Clay County Ala., 
with the Revs Elmer Maddox and Grady Birchfield officiating Burial will be in the 
church cemetery. Mrs. Jones was born Nov 17, 1907, in Clay County Ala a daughter 
of the late William C. and Elizabeth Moncus Burgess. She had lived in LaGrange 
for 14 years Survivors include her husband Loomis Jones LaGrange four sisters 
Mrs. Murris Bice, Mrs. Willard Knight and Mrs. D. Y. Worthy all of LaGrange and 
Mrs. Zema Hunt Lake Hamilton Fla., three brothers Roy E. Burgess LaGrange, Vernon 
Burgess Five Points Ala and the Rev J.G. Burgess Manchester
