Ashland Progress
Death came last Sunday to Mrs. J. W. Jones, 77, at the residence of A. H. 
Stockdale near Sardis Church. She was preceded in death by her husband August 27, 
1949. Burial was at Sardis Monday morning at ten o'clock. Rev. Hollis Horn and 
Rev. E. J. Joiner officiated, and Pallbearers were Mrs. Jones nephews Willie, 
Henry, Dewey, Burt, Aubrey and Marshall Hobbs. Flower girls were Ann, Juanita and 
Wilma Hobbs and Louise Stockdale. She is survived by one brother J. W. Hobbs.
