Mrs. Vassie W. Jones, 81, of Talladega, died Friday at Citizens Hospital. 
Funeral services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Clairmont Springs Baptist Church 
with the Rev. Powell Peace and the Rev. Travis Conner officiating. Burial will 
be in the church cemetery with Usrey Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include a 
daughter Mrs. Joanne Jones Kearley of Talladega; three sons, Calvin Jones and 
Walter Jones, both of Talladega and Julian Delmar Jones of Gadsden; four 
sisters, Mrs. Lydia Garner of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Ludid Turner of Houston Tex., 
Mrs. Cordelia Wamsley of Johnson City, Tex., and Mrs. Estelle Harris of 
Talladega, a brother. R. D. Williams of Houston. Tex.; ten grandchildren and 
seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Jones was a native of Tallapoosa, Ga., and lived 
most of her life in Talladega County. She was a member of Clairmont Springs 
Baptist Church.
