Funeral services for Mrs. Sallie Jones, who made her home with a son, Casey 
Jones, in Cataula, Ga., were to be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at New 
Hope Church in Randolph County, near Cragford. Mrs. Jones, who died early Monday 
morning, would have been 91 years old in June. She was the widow of the late 
Joseph Jones, long time resident of Clay County who had many connections in 
Talladega County. Survivors are five sons, Ben Jones, LaGrange, Roscoe Jones, 
Franklin, Ga., Herbert Jones, College Park, Ga; Marcus Jones, Ft. Payne and 
Casey Jones Cataula Ga; five daughters, Annie Bell Bishop, Langdale, Mrs. Ethel 
Childs, Opelika; Mrs. Catura Zell Parker, Cataula, Ga., Mrs. Jack Kellum, 
Roanoke and Mrs. Mattie Caldwell, North Alabama; a number of grandchildren, 
including Jeff Sexton, Hugo Sexton and Mrs. Pauline Butterworth, all of 
Talladega. Talladegans attending the funeral services were the grandchildren and 
Jonah J. Sexton, a son-in-law.
