John W. (Ben) Jones 85 died Saturday at the Royal Elaine Nursing Home. Funeral 
will be 2 pm (CST) Tuesday at New Hope Baptist Church in Cragford Ala with burial 
in New Hope Cemetery according to Maddox Funeral Home. Mr. Jones was born Sept 
26, 1887, a son of the late Joe and Sallie Wood Jones. Survivors include a 
daughter Mrs. Keifer Jarvis Alexander City Ala., seven sons Troy, Roy, Earl, 
Malcolm and Ben Jones Jr all of LaGrange, Bill Jones Fayetteville and Harry Jones 
Cragford, two sisters Mrs. John Cardwell Fife Ala and Mrs. Luther Parker Cataula, 
three brothers Roscoe Jones, Franklin Casey Jones Cataula and Herbert Jones 
Whitesville 21 grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-
grandchild.
