Funeral serv ices were conducted at two o'clock Sunday afternoon in the school auditorium at Cragford, the church not being large enough to accommodate the throng, most of whom were former patients of the venerable physician. Rev. T. E. Steely conducted the services and burial was in Wesobulga cemetery, with Quattlebaum in charge. He is survived by two sons: Dr. James W. Jordan, of Waterloo, and C.W. Jordan, of Roanoke; two daughters: Mrs. J. P. Perry, Cragford, and Mrs. Charles Lucas, Langdale; two brothers, a sister and 13 grandchildren. Dr. Jordan was an unusual character. Before there was such a place as Malone Dr. Jordan was practicing medicine nearby. For more than 56 years he ministered to the sick in the same area. Few if any physicians in Alabama have been in the active practice of the profession for so long a time. He was a genial and cheerful spirit and his comforting presence in the room of the sick was an aid to his professional services. A good man has closed a long life of useful service and passed on to a well-earned rest.
