H Boak, on Mar 11th, last, died, Mrs. Annie Kenady, aged 86. She was born in Lawrence District, South Carolina. She was twice married in S. C. before coming to Ala. first married Boak and Kenady last. She has always lived a consistent Christian. She joined the Methodist church when quite young and having incessantly lived in the faith died in the same. She was an untiring Christian worker. She was not to public in her Christian Mission as some, but her influence was very great, without pomp of vain show. her life in some respects, is highly exemplary. Her home devotions were never left off. Home to her was a place for the cultiva of humility cheerfulness kindness charity and piety. Her home was her castle. As for economy and industry she doubtless had no superiors. Her whole life was occupied with toil and industry. Even on her dying bed she would work her fingers and hands as if knitting or sewing. With modesty we can assert the truth that there was aught against her. Six days in the week she labored incessantly and the seventh day she studied her Bible. She gave utterance to no dying or parting words for she was entirely unconscious for some time before death. She was tenderly cared for and nursed in her last illness by her kind son Benj. Boak. She was carried to her final resting place at Mt. Gilead. Clay Co. Ala. and laid away her body to await the Great Judgement Day....
