After two weeks oi the most intense suffering occasioned by pneumonia, Little Mary Lou died about 8 o'clock Tuesday night. Anxious friends had watched at the bed side for many days, and every effort was made by physicians and friends to help her to overcome the attack, but without avail. We often wonder why it is that God so often comes to our homes and takes our loved ones so early in life. Though it is taking our sweetest flowers and transplanting them in the never fading land of flowers, but we do know God doeth all things well, for "God is love" and we have the blessed assurance that she is resting in the arms of Jesus. Mary Lou was a little sunbeam in the family, and loved by all who knew her. To the bereaved parents we extend our sympathy and commend them to the care or a beneficent father. While Mary Lou's place in the home will be sadly vacant, remember you have a jewel Bet in the window of heaven to becon you there. May God's grace guide and sustain you in life and bring you an unbroken family to the heavenly home. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. T. Hardin, and the little body was laid to rest in Mt Gilead cemetery. Zelma Scarbrough.
