Kenady, 85, at Mt. Gilead Methodist Church at Sikesville, July 29 at 3 pm. Mr. Kenady was a retired farmer and a lifelong resident of the county. He had been in declining health all the year. Officiating were his pastor, Joe Rush and Rev. Hurston Tapley and Rev. Howell Britton. Interment was in church cemetery, Blair Funeral Home in charge He is survived by his wife Mrs. Dovie Wright Kenady; three sons, Crayton, Mellow Valley, Claud and Lester, Sikesville. Four daughters, Mrs. Nettie Nix, Mrs. Carrie Bice, Mrs. Maud Jones all of Alex City and Mrs. Ruby Stone, West Point, Ga. Five sisters, Mrs. Emily Wright, B'ham; Mrs. Ment Wilson, Shawmut; Mrs. Mollie Moore, Wadley; Mrs. Olive McDaniel, Sylacauga; Mrs. Ida Jordan, Roanoke. Also 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Gulma, John A., Dewell and Glenn Kenady, Walter Broadway, James Peter and the granddaughters were flower girls.
