Anniston Star
Mrs. Mamie B. Kennedy, 62, of Delta died at the residence this morning at 3:50 
o'clock after a long illness. She was a resident of Delta most of her life and 
was a member of Delta Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held from Delta 
Baptist Church at a time to be announced, with the Revs. J. W. Burson and Dee 
Hurst officiating. Burial will be to Delta Cemetery with Usrey in charge. 
Survivors include her husband, C. C.  Kennedy; four daughters, Mrs. Roy Carpenter 
and Mrs. L. O. Thurman of Anniston; three sons, Jack of Long Beach, Calif., C. C. 
Jr., of Goodwater and Richard of Delta. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The 
body will lie in state at the residence until time for the services.
