Ashland Progress
Funeral rites for Mr. William Robert Kerr, Ashland Route One, were held at Shiloh 
Church on Sunday, March 16th, at 2 o'clock p.m. with the Reverends Grady 
Birchfield, Reuben Birchfield and A. O. (Doc) Burdette officiating.
Blair Funeral Directors were in charge. Interment was in nearby cemetery. 
Pallbearers were Bill Thompson, Bill Wright, Williard Wright, John Foreman, 
Clarence Ogletree and Howard Ogletree. Mr. Kerr passed away in Clay County 
Hospital on Saturday, following a second stroke, at the age of 69.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Essie Kerr. Five sons, Charley, Fred. David, 
Leslie and Joe, Ashland, R. 1. One daughter, Mrs. Arvis McCain, Childersburg. 
Sixteen grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Johnson, Birmingham.
