W. Knight on Dec. 31, 1925. He was born July 14, 1882, aged 43 years, 5 months and 17 days, He joined the Masonic fraternity with the Barfield Lodge 784 in 1920. He was initiated Jan. 2, passed March 3, and raised April 5th. of that year. He was a member of the M.E. Church. We feel that we have sustained a great loss in the lodge, in the home, and in the community. He numbered his friends by his acquaintances. He was a loving companion, father and neighbor, always wearing a smile meeting his neighbors in that spirit and sunshine that made them happy and glad to see him. He is so greatly missed, that a cloud of gloom has gathered over the home and community. His body was laid to rest in Pleasant Hill cemetery New Years Day by the brethren of the Masonic fraternity. He leaves a wife and eight children, four boys and four girls besides the many friends to mourn his absence. From us a brother has gone to join in that Lodge above where the Great Grand Master with his loving hand dries all tears away but let us bow in submission to Him that doeth all things well and is able to lead us to that perfect day. then we can join him in that lodge eternal. There is a home in the skies Where the merry will rest, A glorious home in the land of the blest. No tears will be wiped from the sorrowful eye and the broken heart will forget to sigh. No pestilence rides on the wings of the air. No waves of affliction or sorrow is there. In darkness that reign shall never be furled. For the smile of the Lord is the light of that world. Resolved that we extend to the bereaved family our heartfelt sympathy and that a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the secretary's book and that a copy be furnished the family. We beg pardon for delay of this resolution, there being so much sickness. Rev. B. R. Layton, F. Hudson, I C. E. Hogan, Committee Additional Comments: George W. Knight's mother is unknown. His death cert states that mother name was "Watts or Waits". She died at his birth and the family his states his grandfather took him to his father John Glover Knight and left him.
