Ashland Progress
Mrs. Charlotte Knight, wife of D. E. Knight, departed this life Jan. 4th, 1918, 
aged 80 years, 11 months, 4 days. She was known to her many friends as "Aunt 
Charlotte" and she was loved and esteemed by all who knew her. She was married 
to D. Knight Dec. 22, 1853. To this union was born 15 children, 10 of whom 
survive her, her husband and 5 of the children having gone on before. She also 
lived to see her fourth generation, having 110 grandchildren, 104 great 
grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the 
Christian church for almost fifty years, the funeral services was conducted by 
her pastor, Rev. E. M. Carter, interment at Wesobulga cemetery. While we lament 
her passing we bow in humble submission to the will of God who doeth all things 
well.
