Ashland Progress
Final rites for Mrs. Annie Knight of Ashland, Rt. 3, were held at Prospect 
Church on May 23rd at 2 o'clock p.m., with Rev. Zenus Windsor and Rev. Grady 
Birchfield officiating. Burial was in church cemetery with Blair Funeral 
Directors in charge. Pallbearers were Merrell Gortney, Robert Gortney, Thomas 
Taunton, Rawleigh Yates, James Graham and Talmadge Graham. Mrs. Knight, who was 
73 years of age, passed away in Clay County Hospital. She is survived by one 
son, Leonard Knight of Huntsville; one daughter, Mrs. Bertha Turner, Ashland; 
three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
