Ashland Progress
J. F. Knight, who had been resident, of Ashland since the early days of the town 
history, died Monday night about 10:30 o'clock. He suffered a stroke of paralysis 
few weeks ago from which he never recovered sufficiency be able to sneak and his 
death was no surprise to family and friends. Mr. Knight was near 67 years of age 
and had resided in Ashland 41 years, most of which time he was engaged in 
business. He is survived by his wife, three sons and four daughters. Funeral 
services were hem at the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon and the remains were 
interred in the city cemetery.
