The Chambers County News
Miss Martha Knowles, 75, died last Friday night at her home in the Huguley 
Community, following an illness of three weeks. Funeral services were held Sunday 
at 11 A. M. from the Bethany Baptist Church in Clay County. Burial was in the 
churchyard cemetery with Johnson Blakely in charge of arrangements.
A native of Clay County, Miss Knowles had been a resident of the Huguley 
community for the past five years. She was a member of the Bethany Baptist 
Church. Surviving her are one sister, Mrs. Beulah Mason, and one brother, William 
Knowles, both of the Huguley Community.
