Anniston Star
Services for Gordon Daniel Lashley, 86, of Cragford were today at Cragford 
Baptist Church with the Rev. A.D. Langston officiating. Burial was in the church 
cemetery with Jackson Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Lashley died Wednesday at 
Lineville Geriatrics Center. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Walker 
Lashley of Cragford; a daughter, Mrs. Norma L. Smith of Huntsville; a son, 
Harold G. Lashley of Bessemer; five sisters, Mrs. Shelly Farmer of Toccoa, Ga., 
Mrs. Claudia" Cotney of Fort Valley, Ga., Mrs. Maude Lowery of Anniston, and 
Mrs. Mildred Mahand and Mrs. Hilda McLain, both of Lineville; a brother, Roy 
Lashley of Lineville; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers 
were grandsons. Mr. Lashley was a Randolph County native, a Gay County resident, 
a retired section foreman for the Seaboard Coastline Railroad for over 44 years, 
a Mason for 66 years and a member of Cragford Baptist Church.
