The Atlanta Constitution
Funeral services for Whitt W. Lashley, 65, of 734 Law St. NW will be at 11 a.m., 
Friday in Bellwood Baptist Church. The Rev. Cecil Harrison and the Rev. Harold 
Kilpatrick will officiate. Burial will be in Cragford Baptist Church cemetery. 
Mr. Lashley was a native of Randolph County, Ala., and was a retired service 
station operator. He died Tuesday at his home. Survivors include his wife, the 
former Overa M. Bassett; daughter, Mrs. W. G. Phillips, Decatur; two sons. E. W. 
Lashley, Shannon and W. H. Lashley, Austell; sister, Mrs. Robert Casper, Wedowee, 
Ala., and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Frances Lashley, Wedowee.
