W. Ledbetter, passed to her reward in her heavenly home. She was born Nov. the first 1839, being sixty-nine years and ten months old. Was married to Mr. Geo. W. Ledbetter, Jan. 23, 1880. Mr. and Mrs. Ledbetter were born and rasied in this, Clay County, and have lived in this community until last winter, they moved to Sycamore where they were living when Mrs. Ledbetter died. She was devoted to family, true to friends and neighbors, bore no ill will to anyone and the large crowd assembled at the Russell cemetery to lay her to rest and pay their last respects to her memory, was ample evidence of their love for her. She professed faith in Christ in the early years of her life and has lived a faithful and consistent member of the Methodist church ever since, bister Ledbetter began her married life with the care of several stepchildren who were influenced early in life to give their lives to Christ. These children whose lives have been molded by a noble mother, and are faithful members of the Baptist church, together with her aged husband, mourn the irreparable loss of a loyal, devoted and tender wife and mother.
