Mrs. Mindie Etta Carpenter Lee, 82, of Ashland Rt. 2, died Friday at Clay County 
Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. a Blair 
Funeral Chapel with the Re. Bruce Parker officiating. Burial will be in Olive 
Branch Baptist-Church cemetery. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Lee 
Oswalt of Ashland, Mrs. Rosa Belle Baugh of Ft. Myers, Fla. and Mrs. Una Mae 
Perseghin of Dundalk Md., two sons James W. Lee of Margate, Fla. and Benjamin 
Edwin Lee or Baltimore Md., two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Belle of Decatur and Mrs. 
Lonnie Redden of Sumter S.C., brother, C. R. Carpenter of Birmingham, nine 
grandchildren, grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will 
be William Henry Carpenter, Timothy Lyons, Buford and Clyde Dison and Leon 
Jones. The body will remain at the funeral home through the services.
