Tom Coleman and the Rev. David Long officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Blair-Brock Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Long died Wednesday in a Clay County nursing home after a long illness. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Elsie Grant of Vero Beach, Fla., Mrs. Cassie Spurlin. of Brooksville, Fla., Mrs. Myrtis Daniel of Alexandria, and Mrs. Annie Pearle White of Atlanta, Ga.; two sons, Verner P. McVey and Woodrow McVey, both of Lineville; 28 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and a great- great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Charles McVey, Herman McVey, Edward McVey, Douglas McVey, John McVey, Dwight McVey, Roger McVey and William Spurlin. Mrs. Long was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. She was a housewife and a member of the Bellview Baptist Church. She was the wife of the late John W. Long.
