Ashland Progress
John William Long, 63, native of Clay County and resident of Lineville, died at 
Clay County Hospital, August 17. Funeral rites were conducted by the Rev. S. C. 
Ray, Rev. Cecil Harrington, Rev. Dee Hurst at Bellview Baptist Church, August 18. 
Blair Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery. Surviving are his 
wife, one brother and two sisters. Pallbearers were Arnold Clark, Jean Colburn, 
A. D. Preston, Alfred Carden, R. C. Miller, F. D. Clark.
