Ashland Progress
John Lovelady, for many years a resident of the Bluff Springs community died 
Monday at the age of 65 years. He had been failing in health for quite a while 
and some months ago his physicians made an investigation of his condition which 
revealed the presence of a large malignant tumor in the abdominal cavity. That he 
could live only a short time was generally understood by his family and friends, 
but he was a man of unusual vitality and survived longer than was expected by 
many who were aware his critical condition. The funeral service was held Tuesday 
and his remains were interred in Mt. Arrarat burying ground.
