Funeral services for George W. Lowery of Lineville, Rt. 1, were held Jan 27 at 
Shiloh Baptist Church with the Revs. Grady Birchfield and Grady Harris 
officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery, Mr. Lowery died in Alexander 
City after a long illness. He was 83. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Lucy 
Lowery; five daughters, Mrs. Lavada Tant of Talladega, Mrs. Lillie Davis of 
Pensa- cola, Fla.  Mrs. Emmett Bentley of Alexander City, Mrs. Essie Mae Ricdon 
of Birmingham and Mrs. Eva Lee Smith of Munford. Also surviving are three sons, 
W. D. and Thurby, of Talladega, and Phris Lowery, of Ashland.
