Ashland Progress
W. A. Lowry, one of the old citizens of Clay County, died at an early hour 
Saturday morning at the home of his son J.W. Lowry, at Delta. He was near 82 
years old, and had been a resident of the Shiloh community, a few miles east of 
Ashland, for about half a century. His death is said to have been the result of a 
stroke of paralysis which he suffered a few days ago. Mr. Lowry is survived by 
his wife and ten children. Two sons and two daughters preceded him to the great 
beyond. His remains were brought to Shiloh, his old home community, for burial, 
the funeral service being held Sunday.
