Anniston Star
Services for Young Luker age 86 Delta, Rt. 1, were today at Mount Moriah Baptist 
Church with the Rev. Lewis P. Bowen and the Rev. Bill Mitchell officiating and 
Benefield Funeral Home in charge. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Luker 
died Wednesday at Lineville Geriatric Center after an extended illness. Survivors 
Include three daughters, Mrs. Lillian Foster and Mrs. Maedean Smith, both of West 
Point, Ga., and Miss Gwinnell Luker of Delta; two sons, Luna Luker of Fairfax and 
Barron Luker of LaGrange, Ga.; a brother, Henry Luker of Delta; 11 grandchildren; 
11 great-grandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren. Grandsons were 
pallbearers. Mr. Luker was a lifelong resident of Clay County, a farmer and a 
member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church.
