Anniston Star
Services for John Henry Luker, 97, of Lineville, will be today at 2 p.m. at 
Benefield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Pete Haynes and the Rev. Bill Mitchell 
officiating. Burial Will be in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery., The body will 
remain at the funeral home until time of service. Mr. Luker died Friday at Golden 
Springs Health Care Center of Anniston. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eva G. 
Luker of Lineville; and a nephew, Barron Luker of Lineville. Pallbearers will be 
Brenton East, Fred East, Guy Fuller, Alton Johnson, Durward Rice and Newton 
Wakefield. Mr. Luker was a native and lifelong resident of Gay County. He was a 
retired farmer and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church for the past 50 
years.
