In November of that same year, he returned to Georgia and married Miss Martha Ann Shores, who survives him. He lived in Tallapoosa County until 1852 then move him to clay county near Lineville and in 1859 moved eight miles northeast of Goodwater where he died May 24, 1896, having so journed on earth 76 years and 4 months, Brother Leeker joined Methodist church in 1846, but in 1857 united with Alder Springs Baptist church near Lineville baptized by Hiram H. Hickey. In 1871 the deceased assisted in organizing Bethsaida [Noe Rock Springs] church and was a constant member of that same, til he went to his home beyond the skies. For many long days this old father in Israel, patiently boro his afflictions and God in his goodness took him from his pain. Many relatives and friends mourn his departure. Fraternally, C. J.
