B. Luker, age 67, died Wednesday at the family home two miles from Lineville from a stroke of apoplexy. "Uncle Bill" as he was called by his many friends will be greatly missed by the people of Lineville on account of his sterling qualities and true worth. He had been engaged in the trucking business for several years and he made many friends in his morning calls with the choice of Vegetables he raised. One citizen remarked he had learned to know "Uncle Bill's" 1 rap and looked forward to buying from his as it was a genuine pleasure to deal with a good man. Rev. S. J. Ingram had charge of the funeral services and was conducted from the home. While not a farmer who made big crops, he tried to give his children a high school education, and Melvin and Calvin were students of the old Lineville College. while the younger children attended the schools nearest to where they lived. Besides the widow and four sons and four daughters survive They are as follows: M. D. and C. L. Birmingham, W. J. and J. C. Mrs. B. B. Colley, Mrs. Herert Chatman of Lineville, Mrs. R. E. Skes, of LaGrange GA., Mrs. Foney Cochran of Lineville. Brown of Anniston had charge of Funeral arrangements.
