Ashland Progress
C. B. Mackey, farmer of the Marvin's Chapel community died suddenly at his home 
at noon Tuesday. Mr. Mackey had just arrived home with a wagon load of pine and 
was unhitching the team when the final summons came. He is survived by his wife, 
four sons and two daughters. The sons are T. J., Paul and Charles of Millerville, 
and Brack, of Kellyton. The daughters are Mrs. Bud Horn of Millerville and Miss 
Juanita Mackey of Millerville. Also, one brother, Walt Mackey, of Lineville and 
one sister, Mrs. Haymon Price of Lineville. Funeral services were held Wednesday 
afternoon at Providence, Rev. C. Ray officiated, assisted by Rev. Winters of 
Kellyton and Rev. Bean of Lineville. Interment was in the Providence cemetery, 
Blair in charge.
