He was born March 3, 1878, and depart ed this life February 16. 1933. He left a wife, eight children, his father, two brothers and one sister, also a host of friends to mourn his loss. Spence Mackey was a man who was useful in a community. He was always willing to lend a helpful hand to those who needed it. We must remember that God wants the best for His own and that our loss is His gain. He had a wife and two children who went on to meet their reward several years ago. We are grieved sorely to have to give this man up, but we feel sure that he has gone on to join the happy throng, leaving us to mourn. And should we not be submissive. Spence he is free from all suffering, and since it was God's will to remove him from our midst we should be reconciled to Him who doeth all things well. A Friend. Additional Comments: He is buried at County Line Cemetery, Clay County AL.
