Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha E. Mackey of Cragford Rt. 1, were held at County 
Line Baptist Church on April 24th at 3 o'clock p.m., with Revs. W. T. Tapley, 
Elmon Mattox and Charles Jordan officiating and Blair Funeral Directors in charge 
of arrangements with interment in County Line Cemetery. Palbearers were Boyd 
Hamil, Floyd Hamil, Jimmy Mackey, Terry Edgar Evans, Billy Fred McCullers. Mrs. 
Mackey was a native of Cleburne County but had resided' in Clay County for a long 
period, of years. She passed away at her home on April 23rd, after a long 
illness, at the age of 76. Survivors include three sons, John J., George and Hugo 
Mackey.
