Ashland Progress
W. C. McEachen, age 70, died at his home in the Providence community several 
miles east of Ashland Friday and his remains were buried Saturday, Elders Denney 
and Harris conducting the funeral. Mr. McEachen was born in Georgia but came to 
Alabama in early life, residing for many years in Tallapoosa County.
He had been living in the Providence community some fifteen or sixteen years and 
was noted for his habits of industry and thrift. He reared a large family of 
children, thirteen of whom, with his wife, survive him.

He is buried at County Line Cemetery, Clay County, AL.
