Mrs. Martha Abie Marler, 71, of Lineville, died Thursday in Clay County Hospital 
after a long illness. Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Concord 
Baptist Church with the Rev. Dee Hurst and, the Rey. John Joiner officiating. 
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Blair Brown-Service Funeral Home in 
charge. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mae Belle Holcombe of Lineville and 
Mrs. Johnnie Adell Mitchell of Talladega; four sisters, Mrs. Lessie Davidson of 
Millerville, Mrs. Lacey Brannock, Mrs. Gladys Drummond and Mrs. Dollie Martin; 
all of Ashland; a brother, E. Z. Shirey of Gadsden, eight grandchildren and two 
great-grandchildren.
