March 5, 1931: As a result of convictions and pleas of guilty entered in the Circuit Court of Clay County, which completed a three-week term last Friday, six convicts left for the penitentiary Saturday. Brewer Crosson, convicted of murder in the second degree, was sentenced for a term of 10 years. Chester Weaver, also convicted of 2nd degree murder was sentenced for 10 years. Four were sentenced for burglary: Claud Molleston, Willis Williams and Lucius Munroe, each for two years to two years and six months, Dewey Stevens, a year and a day to a year and two days.
