Ashland Progess
Final rites for Mrs. Berta Mae Ogle Martin, 31, of Talladega, were held at 
Pleasant Hill Church on October 3rd, conducted by Reverends Wesley Glover, Bobby 
Richardson and Berny Burch. Interment was in church cemetery, directed by Blair 
Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Sam Ledbetter, Doyle Jeabin, Frank Brown, James 
Barber, A1 Cabana, Anthony Roberts. Mrs. Martin passed away aft the home of her 
mother, Mrs. Ethel Ogle on October 2nd. Survivors include her husband, John D. 
Martin; one brother, J. L. Ogle; four sisters, Mrs. Levis Wood, Mrs. Arba 
Whithead, Mrs. Myrtis Smith, Mrs. Emma Lou Brown.
