Ellis Johnson and the Rev. Jack Drinkwater officiating. Burial will be In the Ashland City Cemetery with Blair-Brock Funeral Home of Lineville in charge. Mrs. Mathews died Thursday at her residence after a short illness. Survivors include her husband, Louie B. Mathews of Ashland; two sons, Donald W. Crowe and Thomas J. Crowe, both of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Mrs. Guy White of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and six step- grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Richard Nolen, Brandt Thomas, Franklin Horn, Tom Mathews, Bob Wynn, Ernest Allen Ingram, Ronnie Thomas and Jimmy Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Board of Stewards of the Ashland First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Mathews was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. She was a housewife and a member of the Ashland First United Methodist Church. She was a lifelong member of the UMW and a member and past president of the Woman's Study Club. The body will remain at the funeral home until one hour prior to services.
