Graveside services for Miss Bessie Gay Mathews, 76, of Alexander City, will be 
Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Marvin's Chapel Methodist Church in Gay County with 
Carr Funeral Home of Sylacauga in charge. Miss Mathews died Monday at Chapman's 
Nursing Home. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Grace Machen of Sylacauga and 
Mrs. Melda Harris of Palm Harbor, and several nieces and nephews. Miss Mathews 
was a Clay County native and lifelong resident. She was member of Marvin's Chapel 
Methodist Church.

Additional Comments:
She born Dec 14, 1911, the daughter of Virgil Mathews & Lee Ola Harris.
