Ashland Progress
Mrs. Mayo, wife of O. L. Mayo who resides a mile south of Ashland, died at 11 
o'clock Sunday morning after only a very brief illness. Her remains were carried 
to Bethany in the southern part of the county for interment, that being her 
girlhood home and the home of her aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Kenedy. The 
funeral was held at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon and was conducted by Rev;' A. H. 
Nabors of Ashland. Mrs. Mayo was 36 years of age and leaves her husband, and 
five, small children.
