McCain in 1874 at the age of 23. Eight children were born to them. Three boys and 1 girl survive her. She was very much devoted to her family and her beautiful Christian character endeared her to a wide circle of friends who mourn her loss. She was. always glad to smooth the rough places and make life brighter for her friends and was very patient and submissive in her affections after a serious operation and apparent recovery she taken suddenly ill and grew worse for a few days passing for this life on November 20th. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Lineville Methodist Church. She was laid to rest at Olive Branch in the presence of a large concourse of friends. Those who knew her have the assurance that she had prepared for the Great Reward. Her place can never be filled, but we ask God may bless and guide all those who mourn her until they shall meet in the sweet bye and bye. A friend.
