James E. McCain was born in Lineville County Tennessee March 24, 1830, and died in Clay County Alabama, August 12th, 1896, He came to this immediate section with his parents when quite a child and here he spent almost his whole life., In his early youth Jim became a Christian and immediately on his convection he joined the Methodist church of which he remained a of member until his death. In Nov 1851 he was licensed to preach and thenceforward, the best energies of his life were devoted to cause of the Master........W.H. Blake.
