Ashland Progress
Mrs. Ella McCain passed away in Talladega on Tuesday night July 29th. The 
deceased had been quite feeble for several years. She made her home with her 
daughter, Mrs. Jim Knight, who passed away several months ago, but she continued 
to make that her home but had been with friends in Talladega for the past month, 
The was 83 years old. She survived by two granddaughters, Mrs. Robert Rogers, of 
Ft Lauderdale, and Mrs. James Brooks, of Lineville. Funeral services will be held 
at the Ashland Methodist Church this (Thursday) afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment 
will be in Olive Branch cemetery.
