Ashland Progress
Mrs. Roy McClellan (Ruth Patterson) 43, of the Hatchett Creek Community, passed 
away at the Clay County Hospital last Sun. p.m., after a long illness. Funeral 
was conducted Mon. p.m. at Bethlehem Methodist Church with the Rev. Lavelle 
Reynolds officiating. Interment was in nearby cemetery with Blair Funeral 
Directors in charge. Pallbearers were David McClellan, Walter Limbaugh, Walter 
Shoats, Jene Smith, Edd Patterson, Mearl Patterson. She is survived by her 
husband, one daughter, Tommy Ann; three sons, Roy Jr., Bobby and Lester; two 
grandchildren and other relatives including her mother Mrs. Mary Caldwell; four 
brothers, two sisters and two half-sisters.
