Bro. McClintock was a native of Chester Co, South Carolina. He died at his home in Clay Co. Ala where he had lived for 40 years. He had been a mason about 30 years was a worthy member of Hardy-Howle Lodge No: 459 and held a high degree the respect and regard of the Masonic fraternity. He was a true man in all the relations of life, honest and truthful the strictest sense, as all will testify who knew him and he was long and well known in his community and in the county and these qualities won for him the love the respect and the confidence of his fellow man. In early life he joined the Baptist Church. and all through his life was a devoted and faithful member and was a Deacon at his church for many years, which office he held at the time of his death, although for several years he had been unable to attend to the duties of said office as he was very old and naturally feeble. He lived over man's allotted time became, weary and has stop ped to rest. He will meet with us here no more, but let us remember and emulate his virtues, and if he made mistakes let us improve upon them and strive to meet him where all good people hope at last to arrive. He was married in S.C. in 1851 to Miss Sarah J. Kirk, who with 10 children survives him and to whom the Lodge tender sincerest sympathy. Done by order of the Lodge. J.M. Hardy, F. M.
