L. McCollough, who passed away Tuesday afternoon by the Rev E. F. Daniel, the Rev. B. W. Mathews and the Rev. W. L. Sprayberry. He was a member of the Baptist Church and attended regularly as long as his health would permit. He had been in failing health for more than 3 years but was able to be up until Just a few days ago. Interment was in Delta Cemetery with Blair directing. Active pallbearers were: Schley. S. J. Webster and Stribling McCollough, (son of the deceased), George Wheeler and Charles W. Baggett (sons-in-law). Honorary pallbearers were: Will Saxon, Asberry Daugherty, C. P. Ingram, Albert Davis, Heston Dial, Excell Dial. Hartford Sim and Cleve Smith. Relatives from a distance visiting the family and attending the funeral were, Mr. and Mrs. Schley McCollough and little daughter, Barbara, of Fontana, N. C; Pfc. S. J. McCollough of New York, N. Y., Stribling McCollough M. M. 2/C, San Diego. Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler and little son, Joe, of Portsmouth, Va.; Pfc. and Mrs. Charles Baggett of Sebring, Fla., Lt. Col. A. A. Garrett of Denver, Colo.; Dan Garrett of Tuscaloosa, the Rev. and Mrs. Jim Ingram of Ashland.
