Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. John L. (Mary Jane) McCollum, 68, at the 
Baptist Church in Lineville Sunday at 3 o'clock. The Rev. Cecil Little 
officiated. Blair Funeral Home was in charge and burial was In the Barfield 
Cemetery. Mrs. McCollum was born in Bowdon, Ga., but had spent most of her life 
in Clay County. She died at Clay County Hospital following an illness of several 
months. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Ada Thomaston, Fairfax, Mrs. Ida 
McDonald Talladega, Mrs. Pauline Graben, Lineville; five brothers, Arthur Yates, 
Lineville, George Yates, Cedartown, Johnie Yates, Evans, Ga., Grady Yates, 
Fairfax, Exra Yates, Florida, and her father, Henry Yates, Gadsden.
