Ashland Progress
E. W. McCormick was born February 21, 1862, in Randolph County, Alabama, and died 
August 24, 1936, at 11:54 p. age 74 years, 6 months and 3 days. He joined the New 
Harmony Christian church at about the age of forty. He was married to Gustie Ann 
Wilson March 12, 1905. To this union was born seven children, three girls and 
four boys, all survive him except one boy which died in infancy. Those living 
are: Mrs. N. F. Bean, Mrs. J. E. Brandenburg, Miss Rena McCormick of LaGrange, 
James and C. B. McCormick of Fairfax, and Britton of Cragford. Funeral services 
conducted by Rev. Burton Martin, Jesse Dollar, and Rev. Guy Veazey. Masonic Order 
in charge.
