Ashland Progress
Mr. John McCoy, of the Shiloh Community, died in the St. Vincents Hospital in 
Birmingham Sunday, July 21, and was laid to rest in the Shiloh Cemetery at 11 
a.m. July 23. Rev. J. P. Bean officiating, assisted by Rev. Tapley of Alexander 
City. He is survived by two sons, Fornie and Phinis of Lineville, and two 
daughters, Mrs. Jessie McCollum and Mrs. Tanze Morrison of Lineville. Pallbearers 
were: Hubert Minter, Bob Minter, O. J. McCoy, William McCoy, Bill McCoy, and Jack 
McCoy. Blair directing.
