Whereas it has pleased the Grand Architect of the universe to summons to state of 
endless duration our worthy brother John J. McCrary from labor to refreshment. He 
was born Dec 29, 1848 and died April 11, 1908. While bowing with submission to 
the inevitable decree that the dust shall return to the earth as it was, and the 
spirit to God who gave it, we deeply deplore the severance of another link from 
our fraternal chain. Therefore, be resolved: That we extend to the bereaved 
family our sincere sympathy and that as a tribute of respect our lodge be draped 
in mourning, and a memorial page inserted in our minutes, and that a copy of the 
foregoing be presented to the widow of our appreciated brother. E. A. West, A. J.
